Set on thirty acres just fifteen minutes from Mudgee, Ember is not a hotel — it's a home. Gather around the fire, explore the wine region, and wake to the quiet of the countryside. Two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms, the perfect stay for four. Plan that romantic getaway, the wine country with friends, or a midweek reset. We have everything you need.
A familiar country form, crafted from natural materials, the design draws on the warmth of Australian timber and the restraint of Japanese architecture: honest materials, clean lines, and spaces that breathe.
The layout is shaped by the land around it. It frames the view and shelters you from the (at times) harshness of the Australian country, so there's always something to watch from inside — kangaroos springing across the paddock, spring light falling across the deck, autumn colour beyond the glass, and after dark, a star-lit sky that goes on forever.

Many of the furniture pieces were designed and built by us, and the whole space carries a quiet, calming quality. It's laid out for people to gather, slow down, and stay connected to the land. Two bedrooms, a kitchen made for long meals, and room enough to stretch out without feeling crowded.
You're a stone's throw from some of Mudgee's most loved wineries, but the best reason to come is to do very little at all.
